STAR RATING SYSTEM : FEATURES

The Star Rating equipped with 6 main features and they are:-

1. Preparation of questions module;
2. Key-in answers module;
3. Target group management module;
4. Dashboard module;
5. Report module; and
6. System Administration module

Preparation of Questions Module

The System simplifies the process of importing questions into the system. Modification to the questions can be done easily and system administrator is allowed to remove or add new questions without any programming required. This module provides several access level and access to the information is based on the permission granted.

The rating mechanism introduced by this module focus on the following criterias:-

1. Target group or parties being monitored;
2. Monitoring category and sub-category;
3. Indicator and sub-indicator; and
4. Questions based on item (a) – (c ).

Key in Answers Module

Based on the criteria above, system will map questions to the target group according to the categories and indicators. Every question carries certain points and weight for the overall performance.

Answers to be keyed-in by the target group are based on the following format:-

1. Yes/No;
2. Yes/No/Not Applicable;
3. Date;
4. Number/Currency;
5. Remarks; and
6. File Upload.

The Star Rating introduces an option either for all mandatory questions or points’ deduction for every blank field. The system is able to check the status of all the questions required attention from the target group. For incomplete questions, reminder will be sent to the recipient through email or sms.

Target Group Management Module

Target groups are parties under monitoring or parties required continuous supervision. Usually, the target groups are:-

1. Department;
2. Branch;
3. Unit;
4. Agency;
5. NGO; and
6. Corporation.

System will grant an authority to the highest level officer to provide the required respond. The authority granted is not transferable. If the target group no longer required to be supervised, system administrator can easily remove the target group from the system and add-in new target group.

Dashboard Module

The Star Rating provides an interactive dashboard for easy monitoring especially for top management. The dashboard provides the following summaries:-

1. Performance based on rating/Overall performance;
2. Performance based on target group;
3. Performance based on evaluation category; and
4. Period based performance.

Besides an interactive dashboard according to the performance, the System allows User to make comparison with the previous year record or compare against the benchmark organisation through “drag facility”. All the information collected is able to be manipulated for organisation’s benefits.

Report Module

All reports generated through the System can be exported to Microsoft Word and printed for distribution. Any additional reports required can be generated easily. The system provides the following standard reports:-

1. Overall Rating and previous year rating;
2. Every Target group rating compared to previous year;
3. Target group performance compared to the benchmark; and

System Administration Module

The Star Rating System provides the following administration functions:-

1. Sub-module system configuration;
2. Sub-module user management;
3. Sub-module access control & security;
4. Sub-module language;
5. Sub-module log & audit trail;
6. Sub-module data dictionary;
7. Sub-module helpdesk;
8. Sub-module data import & export; and
9. Sub-module alert.
